Greenery - Colour of the Year

I’ve started the year with a focus on new sketches and designs, new plans for Flax Fox and a VERY long list of inspiration to work from (I'm making some headway, as much as my toddler is allowing ;-)!

 

So much of my work is inspired by landmarks and nature, the beauty of Northern Ireland, the stunning landscapes we live close to. When I was making my 2017 plans, it seemed very apt that Pantone’s Colour of the Year is ‘Greenery', a beautiful spring green shade. Symbolising new beginnings, it is supposed to be illustrative of flourishing foliage and the lushness of outdoors, the pursuit of personal passions and vitality. In other words, Flax Fox perfect! As I’m working on cityscapes and north coast landscapes, I’ll be channelling a little bit of life-affirming Greenery all the way...
