Imagine these streets rammed with dancing people. It happens every year!
Culture Night is becoming Europe’s biggest party. For one night only (Friday,
September 20), cities large and small transform into carnivals of culture.
Belfast, Dublin, Derry and Strabane, Cork and many more...even Holywood.

Culture Night is an explosion of art, music (punk, folk, jazz, classical, choirs, ukulele
orchestras, opera, reggae), on-street performances, comedy, salsa parades,
puppets, pop-up theatres - great stuff for everyone, every age, and every taste.

Shops throw open their doors, so there could be a 4-piece blues band in a barber’s
or Lindy Hoppers in a museum or poetry readings in a bakery.
Getting hands-on is a big part of it too. Learn to jive, help paint a mural, tell a story,
or make crafts.

Derry/Londonderry has lots on offer too. Everything from 'The Thundering Guns of Derry' exhibition to circus taster sessions to loosen up those hips.

All kinds of folk - all ages, all interests - mingle, and the atmosphere is really special. It’s the best way to discover how much creativity is alive and kicking in an area near you.
